Unfortunately our planned trip to one of the small islands off Guernsey had to be delayed due to some strong winds, however, we still got out for a bit of practise in the shelter of the bay! It was a great opportunity to push the Drascombe a bit harder (possibly too hard!), reaching 6.9 knots at one point, although we were trying desperately to get to 7!
With the wind from the south for most of the weekend I headed up north to find some shelter for a bit of spearfishing. Although the visibility was not great, I still managed to grab myself a decent sized mullet. You can’t complain when you get free dinner!
