Having a week off work was the perfect opportunity to get some more hours on the water. The weather wasn’t great as it was overcast all week with persistently light winds, nevertheless we headed out most days to make the most of it and better still managed to avoid the rain!
It’s great to be able to put everything we are learning into practise as well as share some great times with family and friends on the little boat.
Although the winds were light we had to do some fairly technical sailing as we were constantly battling against some strong tidal flows (due to the very large tidal range that we have in Guernsey), although knowing we had a reliable outboard on the back did make things a little easier!
Unfortunately now the clocks have gone back in our part of the world and the weather is some what unpredictable it is making getting out on the water that much harder… bring on spring!
